send

one HTTP call from anywhere — a CI job, a cron, a release script, a Lambda. SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and reverse DNS are wired up for your domain so messages actually land.

Pay-per-send doubles as the spam wedge: bots can't afford to abuse a metered API.

receive

point an MX record at your mayl subdomain and read mail in a plain web inbox — basic subject-line threading, no clutter.

Isolate notification traffic from your primary email by giving ops, alerts, and forms their own address. Integrate into slack/teams/hangouts/etc.
